Sustainability

Long before it became the fashion, Natalino has always chosen to travel to work in an eco-friendly manner, preferring to navigate the city with an electric car, scooter or bicycle. A simple gesture that reflects his dedication to a responsible way of living and belief that it is our collective duty to protect our planet in order to safeguard it for future generations. Over time, the staff of Corso 281 have been inspired by and adopted these habits, also choosing to travel by environmentally-friendly transport, reducing the impact on our planet.

These green principles are a core value of Corso 281 and sustainable practices play a part in every single aspect of the running of the hotel, from reducing the use of plastic to choosing local suppliers, from making energy efficient choices to promoting eco-conscious behaviour to our guests. Here sustainabilty is not just talked about, it is a mindset to be acted upon starting from the first moment of every day.

Thanks to this commitment to running a sustainable hotel, Corso 281 has been certified with a Green Key recognition, an important international award which affirms owner Natalino Gisonna’s dedication to protecting the environment. Each year he sets a goal of reaching more ambitious targets regarding sustainability, and continues to make thoughtful and considered decisions for his hotel which align with this ecofriendly mindset.

With a luxury hotel situated in the heart of Rome, on one of the city’s main thoroughfares, soundproofing has always been a top priority for Natalino. He has worked closely with leading companies who specialise in the production of high-performance soundproofed-glass to ensure guests have the peace and tranquility needed for a good night’s sleep, even when the frenetic life of Rome continues outside. Every room at Corso 281 has a certified soundproofing level of -45dB to guarantee maximum silence.
